Getting to Bendleby from Brisbane

Day 1

Brisbane to Moree

From Brisbane, Head West to your first stop in Toowoomba for a Coffee to recharge and then continue South West.

Your second stop will be in Goondiwindi, where you can grab lunch at the Victoria Hotel.

Day 2

Moree to Cobar

From Moree, you continue South West to your first stop at Walgett

From there, you continue West to Cobar where you can check out the lookout, grab a photo in front of the Cobar sign, and then get a bite to eat at one of the many Cafes (or the pub).

Day 3

Cobar to Broken Hill

Get on the road and head to Willcannia for your first stop. From here, you can head out to Menindee Lakes, or North to White Cliffs to visit the opal fields, before making your way on towards Broken Hill.

At Broken Hill, stop past the Line of Lode Miners Memorial before heading to the Supermarket for your last big shop, and then settling into your accommodation.   Avoid Fruit and Veg until you cross the border tomorrow given the border restrictions.

Day 4

Broken Hill to Bendleby Ranges

From Broken Hill, continue West. Your first stop is Yunta, where you can stop at the pub for a refreshment and a yarn, before you continue onward.

Just under 90 minutes later, you’ll hit Ororoo, the last town before Bendleby. Fill up with fuel, grab last minute groceries from the local IGA, and your meat fix from the local butcher before a nice 45 minute drive along the best dirt road in the country to hit Bendleby, where the real adventure begins!
